AN EXCERT BRIGHT PERSPECTIVE A DARK MARKET

Estados Unidos, 12 de diciembre del 2000, (Latino America Advisor).-    The recent dip in tech stocks leaves a stale taste in many investor“s mouth, yet some maintain an optimistic outlook despite negative attitudes. A recent interview with a Senegocia .com“s managing parther Felipe Cubillos new light on the internet as a new tool to be used cautiously to estabish secure and profitable companies. Senegocia .com, grew out of the discovery of a market need for a faster and casier way to price and place bids for raw materials. In april of this year, managing partners Felipe Cubillos and Marcos Fuentes launched their B2B site in Chile, Senegocia.com. The B2B site aims to fill the gop and facilitate faster, more efficient trade of raw materials. By June, the Senegocia.com was fully operacional and soon shifted across Chilean borders into Peru and Argentina. "Our strategy is to in the seven largest economies in Latin America: Chile, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico and Brazil. " Mr. Cubillos tells the Latin America advisor in a telephone interview: "Creating a company in the new Economy is no different thas creating one in the old Economy. You still have to manage the cash flow, marketing, client orientation and administration in the same way that you would manage a company in the real world," Felipe Cubillos says to stress importance of old Economy solidarity. He notes that the internet is merely "a new tool for new models, for new business, but it will not sell everthing. It is not a cause." People must begin to recognize the realy that Internet companies require the same foundations of management as real world companies. Once that recognition is accomplished, Mr. Cubillos notes, we will see very good results in the internet companies." Just as Senegocia.com does not aim to be purely and Internet company in the new economy sense, the company is not founded on your standard pan-regional strategy model. "You most jirat prove yourself in a familiar market," says Cubillos, who opened Chile“s largest marina in southern Chile, and was also involved in the Chilean salmon business as the owner of hatcheries and the president of the Chilean salmon assocation. "We proved ourselves in Chile before expanding onto Peru and Argentina" says Mr. Cubillos. Once in other markets outside of Chile, Mr. Cubillos strresses the importance of local partners: "It is not easy for us to move abroad, is a new company creating a new product. Our model depends a lot on the local partners. We don't want to impose ous strategy to those partners because they know how to manage their relations in their countries. We want to learn with them “know-how“ is quite similar to “know-how“." Aside from local partners Banco Comafi in Argentina and local entrepreneurs in Peru Senegocia.com just announced an alliance with global giant Citibank, who provide transactions marketplace to the new B2B. Mr. Cubillos and company are incredibly excitens and alliance. He note that, "It motivates us and we think it well help us to become the stands as relations of buyers and sellers via the Internet."
